We are looking for old pictures of you showing to share anonymously for our banquet to celebrate 60 years of WSHJA.  Let me know if you have some to add.

Our schooling series has been very successful!  Hunter schooling the first Sunday of the month and Jumper schooling the second Sunday of the month.  We are also offering 4-H clinics February 17 and March 17.

Thank you to all who voted me in as President of the Washington State Hunter and Jumper Association.  I am looking forward to serving with the other Board members, we get along well and are very like minded.  Past President Shelly Kerron has set a great course for us to follow.  Join us all at the annual Banquet at the Meydenbauer Center January 12 2013 to celebrate our accomplishments.

I am enjoying judging very much and looking forward to participating in the USEF Continuing Education program in Thermal February 25-26 2013.

Show Schedule

We have posted the show schedule for this year on the website.  Anyone is welcome to meet us at the shows if you would like some help. We will be supporting the new shows at the Horse Park in Cle Elum this year so if you live on the east side of the mountains this is a wonderful place to meet up.  The weather has certainly made it difficult to be consistent with the young horses so don't worry if they are a little green or you are a little rusty.  Look forward to seeing everyone in April at Monroe!

Schooling Shows

Our next Schooling Show is February 12, 2012. Our goal with these shows is to send you home a better rider with a better horse and we will do whatever we can to make that happen.  If you are a vendor, photographer or rescue organization and would like to set up shop please let us know!  March 11 is the last show but we are always available for clinics or haul in lessons to help you get ready for the show season.

WSHJA Banquet

Congratulations to our year end award winners! It was a lovely evening at the Meydenbauer Center, Lynn Trewin did a fabulous job organizing, our hosts Scott Trewin and Beau Masters were Oscar worthy and everyone dressed for a gala evening.  We are sorry our President Shelly Kerron was ill and missed the festivities but our VP Heidi Evans was outstanding. The snow on the way down made us think twice but it was well worth the drive to see friends in such a jovial atmosphere,

Jeff Cook Clinic at Woodside Stables

Our Juniors enjoyed working with Jeff this last weekend at Woodside Stables.  It is nice to have the girls work with a clinician that shares our firm commitment to the classic style of riding and training. Woodside staff took excellent care of our riders and horses and we are grateful to them for including us in the fun and informative clinic.  Happy Thanksgiving!

Congratulations Stephanie Yerigan

Stephanie and her large pony "Riviera" were 9th in the West Coast Pony Finals at LA Preview Horse Show! We would like to thank Heidi and the Hillcrest team for letting us tag along with them.  It was great fun.  Stephanie also got to catch ride a medium pony Bella Noir thanks to Carolyn Biavia at First Field Farms and placed!

Look for Stephanie on her Childrens Hunter Covenant joining Junior riders Aisling and Michaila at the Jeff Cook Clinic at Woodside Stables in Kingston WA this weekend.
